About
Remedy was the first Jewish rapper to be affiliated with the Wu Tang Clan, and his best known track is a song about the Holocaust. "Never Again" appeared on the 1998 platinum selling Wu Tang Killa Bees: The Swarm compilation, mixing ancient Jewish prayers with hip hop rhythms, and the Tampa Bay Times called it a defiant portrait of the Holocaust in song. It later landed on his debut album The Genuine Article in 2001, which featured RZA, Cappadonna and Inspectah Deck and reached number 130 on the Billboard 200. The Staten Island rapper and producer followed up with Code Red in 2003, which included a track about 9/11 and "A Muslim and a Jew", with RZA acting as mediator. He runs his own label, Code Red Entertainment, which put out Cappadonna's The Struggle. He also executive produced Inspectah Deck's Manifesto and Chamber No. 9, plus Ghostface Killah's 2019 album, and released Remedy Meets Wu Tang in 2021 with appearances from the Clan.
