Remember Sports have been quietly putting out some of the sharpest indie rock to come out of Philadelphia, built on tangled guitar work, three part vocals, and a knack for honest, emotionally direct songwriting. They started out under the name Sports while still students at Kenyon College in Ohio, and their second album All of Something earned four stars from Rolling Stone and landed in PopMatters' best indie pop of 2015. The name change to Remember Sports came in 2017, partly to sidestep confusion with an Oklahoma band sharing the same name. Their fourth album Like a Stone, out in 2021, got named Stereogum's album of the week and showed the band hitting a confident stride. They also contributed a cover of the Click Five's Just the Girl to a tribute compilation honouring the late Adam Schlesinger. In 2025 they signed to Get Better Records and announced their fifth album, The Refrigerator, set for 2026.
