About
Richard van Bergen is a guitarist and frontman working in roots rock and country blues, and he's often named among the best blues guitarists in the Netherlands. He leads Louisiana Heat, a band built around his playing and his place up front. He's also happy to step outside that setup. When he needs a different line up for a bluesy night out, he puts together a hand picked band of players he knows well, some of them from the circle of friends he calls his Brothers in Arms. It's the kind of thing that fits his approach: keep the blues loose, keep it social, and surround himself with musicians who can really play.
