About
Also known as: Ronald Romero
Ronnie Romero has built one of the more impressive CVs in classic rock by lending his voice to some of the genre's biggest names. The Chilean singer is probably best known as the frontman of Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow, but he has also served as vocalist for the Michael Schenker Group and counts himself a member of Elegant Weapons, a heavy metal supergroup featuring Judas Priest guitarist Richie Faulkner. On top of all that, he keeps a solo band on the road. What makes Romero stand out is a voice that can swing from Dio style raw power to melodic precision without breaking a sweat. He has collaborated with guitarist Gus G., releasing the joint single My Premonition, and the two have toured together performing material from their solo catalogues alongside classics from Rainbow, Dio, Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne. For fans of arena rock and heavy metal with deep roots, he is about as good as it gets.
