About
Scrum have spent more than twenty years tearing through festival stages across the Netherlands and beyond, and sitting still at one of their shows is simply not an option. The band pulls from traditional Irish and Scottish folk music, then throws banjo, fiddle and Scottish bagpipes into the mix alongside crunchy punk rhythms and full on electric guitar. The result is what they call powerfolk: high energy, rough edged and built for crowds who want to jump, dance or start a moshpit. Their EP 'Charming Bastard' captures that same spirit on record, proof that the live chaos translates just fine to a speaker.
