About
Sido Martens has been making music since the 1960s, which gives you some idea of just how deep his catalogue runs. The Dutch singer songwriter has released albums both as a solo act and as part of the folk rock group Fungus, and has written over 200 songs across that span. After putting out records through to 1980, he stepped back from music for about a decade, returning in 1996 with what turned out to be a remarkably prolific second chapter. Since then he has released a steady stream of albums, many of them woven together with poetry. His most recent record was funded through crowdfunding, with a hundred backers helping bring it to life. Beyond music, Martens has also published memoirs, collections of poetry and books about running.
