About
Sophie Lloyd built her name on YouTube long before most guitarists her age had figured out their sound. Starting her channel in 2011, she racked up 54 million views with a mix of shredding covers, original compositions and gear reviews, earning her a devoted following in the rock world. Her work caught enough attention that Guitar World readers voted her solo on "Do or Die" the second best guitar solo of 2022, the same year she joined Machine Gun Kelly's touring band for the Mainstream Sellout Tour. Her debut album Imposter Syndrome arrived in 2023, landing at number 3 on the UK Rock chart and pulling in a nomination for Best Breakthrough Album at the Heavy Music Awards. Classic Rock named it one of the best debut albums of that year. Endorsed by Kiesel Guitars and Ernie Ball, she plays with a tone rooted in classic heavy metal but very much her own.
