About
Spacey Jane built their reputation the hard way, playing local shows in Perth almost every week for a year and a half before anyone outside Western Australia took notice. The turning point came with "Booster Seat", the earworm centrepiece of their 2020 debut album Sunlight, which peaked at number two on the ARIA Charts, won Song of the Year at the ARIA Awards and landed at number two in the Triple J Hottest 100. It has since gone seven times platinum and become the band's signature song by a wide margin. Their second album, Here Comes Everybody, arrived in 2022 and scored six placements in that year's Hottest 100, with singles "Lots of Nothing" and "Hardlight" doing a lot of the heavy lifting. The four piece lineup of Caleb Harper, Ashton Hardman Le Cornu, Kieran Lama and bassist Peppa Lane blends indie pop with surf rock in a way that feels breezy but sticks around long after the song ends. Their third album, If That Makes Sense, followed in 2025.
