About
Also known as: 7. Spin Doctors Two Princes, Spin Doctor, Spindoctors, The Spin Doctors
Spin Doctors spent years as a jammy New York club band before two songs, "Little Miss Can't Be Wrong" and "Two Princes", turned them into a huge early 90s act. Their debut Pocket Full of Kryptonite was mostly ignored at first, then took off once radio and MTV caught on. It went on to sell over five million copies in the US and another five million overseas, peaking at No. 3 on the Billboard 200. They toured with the first H.O.R.D.E. lineup alongside Blues Traveler and Phish, and even turned up on Sesame Street with a counting version of their hit. The follow up, Turn It Upside Down, sold a million in the US, and the band played Woodstock '94 and Glastonbury. Lineup changes followed, with guitarist Eric Schenkman walking offstage mid show in 1994, and singer Chris Barron later lost his voice to vocal cord paralysis. The band today features Barron, Schenkman, drummer Aaron Comess and bassist Jack Daley.
