About
The Other started out as a Misfits cover band in Cologne and grew into one of Germany's best known horror punk acts. Their sound mixes punk rock with heavy metal, and everything from the lyrics to the stage costumes comes straight out of classic horror films and fiction. Most songs are in English, but they write in German too. Their debut album They're Alive! came with cover art styled like an old horror movie poster, complete with a "starring" credit for each member. They run their own label, Fiend Force Records, which has put out records by other horror punk bands like Blitzkid, Rezurex and The Crimson Ghosts. They've shared stages with The Damned, Alice Cooper, the Misfits and Wednesday 13, and played festivals such as Wacken Open Air and Wave Gotik Treffen. They even made a comic book, Tales of the Other, back in 2007.
