About
Also known as: The Thrill Seekers, The Thrillerseekers, The Thrillseeker, Thrillseekers
Steve Helstrip made a trance classic from a home studio in Chipping Norton while holding down a day job at a computer games company. That track, "Synaesthesia", sold over 12,000 copies on release in 1999, got backing from Paul van Dyk and Paul Oakenfold, and a vocal version called "Synaesthesia (Fly Away)" climbed to number 28 in the UK Singles Chart and turned up in the film The 51st State. As the Thrillseekers he has kept a steady stream of singles going on his own label, Adjusted Music, and he has remixed the likes of Tiësto, Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten and Chicane. He also works as Hydra, Rapid Eye, Insigma and En Motion. His Hydra single "Amber" hit number 1 on Beatport Trance in 2016 and led into the album Escape, followed by Hydra's Altered State in 2019, which Mixmag scored 9 out of 10.
