About
Also known as: TheVeronicas, Veronicas
Twin sisters Lisa and Jessica Origliasso have been making noise as The Veronicas since 2004, building a catalogue that spans punchy pop punk, slick electropop and everything in between. Their first two albums both peaked at number two in Australia, but it was the relentlessly hooky "Untouched" that gave them their biggest international moment, spending seven weeks at the top of the Swedish chart. The title track from Hook Me Up handed them their first Australian number one. After a long break they came back hard with "You Ruin Me", which debuted straight at number one in Australia and also charted in the US and UK. The duo has kept a busy pace since, dropping gold and platinum singles throughout the late 2010s, releasing two albums in quick succession in 2021, and following those up with Gothic Summer in 2024 on their new label Big Noise. Along the way they also found time to host the ARIA Music Awards and star in their own MTV reality show.
