Till Lindemann is the booming bass baritone and lyricist behind Rammstein, the Neue Deutsche Härte band that has sold over 25 million records worldwide. He's known for stage shows that mix poetic lyrics with serious fire. Pyrotechnics have burned his ears, hair and arms over the years, and after a 1996 incident that set part of the band's set alight he got certified in pyrotechnics so the shows could be done more safely. Roadrunner Records even put him on its list of the 50 greatest metal frontmen of all time. Before Rammstein he played drums in the experimental rock band First Arsch, and he also drummed in the punk band Feeling B. Outside the band he made music as the project Lindemann before moving on to releasing under his own name. He has also published three books of poetry and popped up in a handful of small film roles.
