About
Out of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, the Turnpike Troubadours have built a devoted following by rooting their sound in red dirt and honky tonk while pulling in threads of Cajun music, bluegrass, and political folk. Formed in 2005 by Evan Felker and RC Edwards, the band launched their own label, Bossier City Records, and have spent two decades releasing music that sits comfortably across country, Americana, and roots rock. Their 2015 self titled album cracked the Billboard 200 at number 17 and hit number three on the Top Country Albums chart, and 2017's A Long Way from Your Heart matched that chart position. After a difficult stretch that saw the band go quiet for a few years, they came roaring back in 2022 with reunion shows at Cain's Ballroom and Red Rocks. Their 2023 album A Cat in the Rain, produced by Shooter Jennings, proved the break had not dulled them. In April 2025 they surprised fans with a new record, The Price of Admission, also produced by Jennings, an 11 track set dropped just ahead of a run of shows with Cross Canadian Ragweed.
