We the Kings built their reputation on big, hook driven pop punk, and their 2007 self titled debut set the tone fast. The triple platinum single "Check Yes Juliet" became a genuine pop punk anthem, and the album moved over 250,000 copies in the US alone. Their second record, Smile Kid, kept the momentum going with "Heaven Can Wait" and the Demi Lovato collab "We'll Be a Dream", both landing in the Top 40. Their third album, Sunshine State of Mind, earned them an MTV Video Music Award for Most Innovative Music Video of the Year, thanks to the interactive video for "Say You Like Me". They followed that with a worldwide tour alongside Simple Plan and a run as main stage headliners on the Vans Warped Tour. The fourth album Somewhere Somehow arrived in late 2013, and their fifth record Strange Love came out in 2015, featuring the single "Runaway".
