About
Keath Ósk, performing as Yaelokre, built an entire fictional world called Meadowlark and then invited the internet in. The project follows a musical ensemble called The Lark, four characters voiced entirely by Ósk and each wearing animal masks, brought to life through folk songs, hand drawn illustrations, and Renaissance esque live costumes. The debut EP Hayfields dropped in early 2024, and by July the single "Harpy Hare" had gone properly viral on TikTok and YouTube, topping Spotify's Global Viral Songs Chart for nine days straight and landing on the TikTok Billboard Top 50. Fans responded by making fan art, original characters, and videos copying the choreography from the music video. The second EP Songs of Origin followed, with singles "Bird Cage Blue and Yellow" and "My Farewells to the Fields", and 2025 saw Yaelokre opening for Aurora in Manila before a crowd of 3,000. Fresh singles "Kid & Leveret" and "Cole's Response" came shortly after. Described as both a folk revival act and a representative of Original Pilipino Music, Yaelokre sits in a genuinely rare corner: storytelling driven folk with lore, visual art, and costumed performances that blur the line between concert and theatre.
