Yaro Mila is an Amsterdam based electropop artist who blends punk guitars with heavy beats and digital synths into something that feels genuinely unpredictable. Her sound grew out of the alternative rock world but has taken a sharp electronic turn, landing somewhere between the brash pop of Britney Spears and Anastacia and the raw energy of Audioslave and Nina Hagen. Artists like COBRAH and Joost Klein are also in the mix, which gives you a sense of how chaotic and fun her music can get. She describes what she makes as a hyperactive, emotionally charged sonic Frankenstein, pulling from decades of pop history and rewiring it into something weird, confident and entirely her own.
