Brothers Jelle and Sieb van Zoetwater perform their poetic lyrics and melancholic melodies with the kind of sibling harmonies that only brothers can achieve. Their acoustic folk ranges from minimalistic duo arrangements to grand performances with a full band. In both 2021 and 2023, the duo entered a London studio with producer Ian Grimble (known for his work with Mumford & Sons, Bear’s Den, Daughter, and Causes) to record their second and third EPs. New work from Zoetwater is set to be released in 2024. The acoustic folk they play draws inspiration from a broad spectrum of singer-songwriter, indie, folk, and rock music, from Bear’s Den to Bon Iver and from Damien Rice to Simon & Garfunkel, delivered in Dutch.
