Doornroosje in Nijmegen was founded in 1970 as a creative activities center in a squatted school building, initially serving as a gathering place for hippies. The venue became known as one of the first places in the Netherlands where cannabis was openly available. It programmed many bands, often before they achieved wider recognition.
About Ciao Lucifer
Ciao Lucifer is an Amsterdam duo who happily wear the feelgood band label. The two have been making music together since their school days, and under this name they play sunny, danceable indie pop built to shake off life's bad days. Think of it as an exorcism ritual, just with extra kazoo.
