About
Ciao Lucifer is an Amsterdam duo who happily wear the feelgood band label. The two have been making music together since their school days, and under this name they play sunny, danceable indie pop built to shake off life's bad days. Think of it as an exorcism ritual, just with extra kazoo. The lyrics are sharper than the bright sound suggests. They deal with personal struggles and the state of the world, tucked inside catchy choruses. They have played stages in the Netherlands and abroad, from a sold out Paradiso to a room with three drunk Macedonians, and they aim to win over both. Live, they stitch their songs together like a DJ set, one continuous run of hooks and grooves that keeps building. Their album Sunset Riders was recorded almost entirely live in the studio, which gives it a raw, lively feel.
