Doornroosje in Nijmegen was founded in 1970 as a creative activities center in a squatted school building, initially serving as a gathering place for hippies. The venue became known as one of the first places in the Netherlands where cannabis was openly available. It programmed many bands, often before they achieved wider recognition.
About Frankie and the Witch Fingers
Frankie and the Witch Fingers started out in Bloomington, Indiana, playing basement shows, and grew into one of the more restless psychedelic rock acts around, eventually settling in Los Angeles.
