Patronaat is one of the ten largest alternative pop music venues in the Netherlands, established in 1984 in a former gymnasium of a Catholic boys school in Haarlem. The current building, which opened in September 2005 following a major renovation, contains a main hall with capacity for 1,000, a smaller hall for 300, and a two storey café with a small stage for free concerts and DJ sets. The venue now organizes approximately 450 activities annually attracting around 135,000 visitors, programming across indie, rock, metal, jazz, electronic and other forms of pop music.
About mooi wark
Mooi Wark play farmland rock 'n roll, and they've been at it for 35 years. They come from Drenthe, in the north of the Netherlands, and their sound sits somewhere between Dutch pop, polka and loud guitars. The band has built its name on humour, beer and a no nonsense, countryside attitude that still hasn't been tamed.
