About
Mooi Wark play farmland rock 'n roll, and they've been at it for 35 years. They come from Drenthe, in the north of the Netherlands, and their sound sits somewhere between Dutch pop, polka and loud guitars. The band has built its name on humour, beer and a no nonsense, countryside attitude that still hasn't been tamed. They've worked their way up from small pubs and steaming party tents to festivals and big halls, racking up thousands of shows along the way. Songs like 'In de blote kont', 'Ik ben en blief een boer!' and 'Idioot' are the ones the crowd knows by heart and happily shouts back. It's loud, it's cheerful and it's very much a party.
