Theater Ludens in Voorburg is the result of a merger between theaters Camuz and De Tobbe, operating from a familiar location in the town. The venue takes its name from "homo ludens," the concept of humans at play, reflecting its programming philosophy of offering entertainment that balances leisure with meaningful artistic experiences. The theater presents diverse performances designed to engage audiences through playful, challenging and thought provoking work.
About Niki Jacobs
Niki Jacobs spent years touring across America and Europe before deciding to do something she had long wanted: sing in Dutch, her mother tongue. That shift produced a full Dutch language repertoire, with lyrics written by Brigitte Kaandorp, and a show called JA! that she describes as cheerful, raw, moving and personal.
