Doornroosje in Nijmegen was founded in 1970 as a creative activities center in a squatted school building, initially serving as a gathering place for hippies. The venue became known as one of the first places in the Netherlands where cannabis was openly available. It programmed many bands, often before they achieved wider recognition.
About Picture This
Picture This are a pop rock four piece from Athy, County Kildare, and they wasted no time making an impression: their very first gig, originally booked for a small Dublin venue, sold out in under 30 minutes and had to be moved to a room holding 850 people.
