Robbie Williams is heading to the north of the Netherlands next year. The British pop star will play Summerstage in Stadspark in Groningen on Saturday 10 July 2027, as part of his Live 2027 tour. Concert promoter MOJO announced the show. Froukje has been named as very special guest.

Williams' arrival had been in the air for a while. After he locked in dates in England and Ireland in early July, there was plenty of speculation about a hop across to the continent. Many fans expected a return to Pinkpop in Landgraaf or a booking by Bospop in Weert. The latter festival's organisers have said before that they often want to bring in big names who have played Pinkpop in the past. The show is now going to Groningen, where MOJO and SPOT Groningen are bringing the singer to his own open air show in Stadspark.

Williams is no stranger to the Netherlands. In 2023 he played Pinkpop, where he won the crowd over with nostalgia, self mockery and plenty of interaction. In 2025 he played the Johan Cruijff ArenA in Amsterdam twice. Summerstage has since grown into a regular stop for big international acts: the arrival of Toto had already been announced for the same series.

The singer, now 52, started his career in the boy band Take That and went solo in 1995. He has an extensive catalogue of hits, including Angels, Let Me Entertain You, Feel and Rock DJ. He has reportedly sold 90 million albums as a solo artist, and this year he broke The Beatles' record in the UK with 16 number 1 albums on the British albums chart. Last year also saw the release of the biographical film Better Man, in which Williams is played by an animated monkey. On the new tour, alongside his big hits, he'll also play material from his latest album BRITPOP, which came out in January 2026.

Just as striking is the choice of Froukje as guest. While international stars in the Netherlands sometimes bring a foreign act along as support, Summerstage has opted for a Dutch artist who outgrew her rising talent status long ago. After her breakthrough with Groter Dan Ik and the debut album Noodzakelijk Verdriet, she showed at festivals like Lowlands, Down The Rabbit Hole and Pinkpop that she can get huge crowds moving. With her live band and new album Kijk Je Naar Mij?, she is, according to Festileaks, much more than a warm up act.

General ticket sales for the concert start on Friday 23 October at 10:00 via Ticketmaster. Fans who sign up for MOJO's newsletter may get access to the presale a day earlier, with details sent out by newsletter on Wednesday 21 October at around 19:00.
