Also known as: R Williams, R. Williams, Robbie Wiilliams, Robbie Willams, Robbie Williams., Robert Peter Williams, Robert Williams, Williams, Williams, Robbie
Robbie Williams has racked up seven UK number one singles, and all but one of his 14 studio albums have also hit the top spot. He first made his name in Take That, singing lead on tracks like "Could It Be Magic" before leaving in 1995 and going solo the following year. His debut album Life thru a Lens brought "Angels", still his best known song, and the follow up I've Been Expecting You gave him his first two number ones with "Millennium" and "She's the One". The numbers are silly. He holds a record 18 Brit Awards, sold 1.6 million tickets in a single day for the Close Encounters Tour, and drew over 375,000 people across three Knebworth shows in 2003, the UK's biggest music event up to that point. He rejoined Take That in 2010 for the album Progress, then went back to his solo career. His story hit the big screen in 2024 with the film Better Man, and his latest compilation, XXV, came out in 2022.
