Rock Werchter 2027 has announced sombr as its second act. He's playing the festival on Sunday, July 4, right before Tame Impala. Ticket sales kick off on October 30.

Rock Werchter 2027 has landed its second name: sombr is playing the Belgian festival on Sunday 4 July. That already fills out the final day of next year's edition quite nicely, since Tame Impala were confirmed earlier as the closing act that same day. According to Dansende Beren, sombr will play the Main Stage right before Kevin Parker and co.
The line up got going remarkably early this time. The organisers hinted at the first headliner back in August, during the final day of Pukkelpop, with a teaser pointing to Tame Impala. That very day, sombr was on the Main Stage in Kiewit. Now that his name has been announced for Werchter, the circle is complete. Who else is coming to the festival will be revealed later.
The young American, whose real name is Shane Michael Boose, is quickly making a splash on the festival scene. His Pukkelpop show this summer has been described as a set that surprised friend and foe alike. His debut album features some of the most streamed hits of the moment, including 12 to 12, back to friends and undressed, and with recent singles like Homewrecker and My Body Isn't Ready, his popularity just keeps climbing.
You can see that growth on the club circuit too. Where sombr was still playing Brussels' Ancienne Belgique in 2025, he's filling the AFAS Dome in May 2027. According to reports, only premium tickets are still available for that show. So if you missed out on a ticket, you can still catch him a few weeks later at Werchter.
Rock Werchter runs from Thursday 1 to Sunday 4 July 2027, traditionally on the first weekend of July and at the same time as Down The Rabbit Hole. General ticket sales start on Friday 30 October at 10:00. A day earlier, there's an exclusive pre sale for anyone who has registered in advance. For Dutch festivalgoers, the Belgian festival, just a short trip away, is a logical alternative if you want to see sombr or Tame Impala.
