About
Amelie Lens runs on a very specific frequency: dense, energetic techno that hits hardest when the lights are low and the room is packed. The Belgian DJ and producer from Vilvoorde released her first track, Exhale, in 2016 on Italian imprint Lyase Recordings, and the momentum never really stopped. A string of releases on Pan Pot's Second State label helped cement her reputation, and by 2018 she had launched her own imprint, Lenske, giving her full control over how her sound reaches the world. That same year she played Awakenings Festival, one of the benchmark events in European techno. She also curates her own club nights under the EXHALE name, which have grown from a residency at Hasselt's Labyrinth Club to showcases at London's Fabric, Creamfields, OFFSonar and Dour. In the studio she works with Ableton Live alongside an Elektron Analog Four synth, and live she shapes the mix with a Pioneer RMX 1000, hunting out stripped down, groove locked tracks that really come alive through its effects. A debut studio album, Aura, is on the way.
