ANOTR

About

ANOTR are an Amsterdam duo made up of Oguzhan Guney (known as Oz) and Jesse van der Heijden, two best friends who built their sound out of a shared obsession with house music. Their tracks pull from disco, soul, funk and jazz, weaving those influences into something that sits comfortably in a club but holds up just as well in a live setting. An early release on Defected's DFTD imprint helped put them on the map, and their track 'Relax My Eyes' became a genuine crowd singalong moment. Beyond the music, ANOTR run No Art, a creative outfit that spans a record label, a fashion brand and a series of events. They've built a notably tight community around it, drawing fans who return to their parties again and again. The ADE weekender they hosted at De Hollandsche Manege, a historic Amsterdam riding school, gives a good sense of what No Art is about: unusual spaces, carefully chosen lineups and an atmosphere that feels more like a gathering of friends than a standard club night.
