PAWSA's rework of Dirty Cash (Money Talks) racked up nearly 57 million Spotify streams by the end of 2024, which tells you a lot about where this London tech house DJ sits right now. Born David Esekhile, he co founded Solid Grooves Records with Michael Bibi back in 2015, and the label quickly became a fixture in the tech house scene. His sound gets described as inventive tech house with an old school vibe, and that comes through in moves like flipping a Nate Dogg vocal sample into a UK Top 50 hit with PICK UP THE PHONE. Beyond his solo output, PAWSA runs the PAWZ imprint for tracks that fall outside the Solid Grooves mould, produces the deliberately low key Treasure Series under an anonymous banner, and teams up with Dennis Cruz as GOLFOS. He also took over the BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix for a two hour set, and his track DOUBLE C landed on the official soundtrack of F1 the Movie.
