Baest are a Danish death metal band out of Aarhus who have been grinding out a serious discography since forming in 2015. Originally spelled Bæst, the Danish word for beast or brute, they signed to Century Media Records in 2018 and have since put out four studio albums: Danse Macabre, Venenum, Necro Sapiens, and Colossal in 2025. That kind of output in under a decade puts them firmly in the conversation for one of the most consistent acts in European death metal right now. Their sound sits squarely in old school death metal territory, no frills, just heavy, and each record has pushed them further into the international scene.
