Ben Klock is one of those names that carries serious weight in Berlin's techno world. A resident DJ at Berghain, he has built his reputation on long, intense sets that lean into minimal and dub techno, the kind of music that works on you slowly and doesn't let go. He founded his label Klockworks in 2006, giving him a home for his own productions and a platform for artists he believes in. His solo album One from 2009 remains a touchstone, and over the years he has collaborated with fellow Berghain resident Marcel Dettmann on two albums, Scenario and Phantom Studies. More recently he teamed up with Fadi Mohem, releasing the collaborative album LAYER ONE in 2024 alongside a single featuring vocalist Coby Sey. His mix for Fabric, number 66 in that series, is often cited as essential listening for anyone wanting to understand what he does best.
