BewhY, real name Lee Byung yoon, is a South Korean rapper who put himself on the map by winning Show Me the Money 5 in 2016, one of the most watched rap competition shows in Korea. He's part of the $exy $treet & Yello Music crew and pulls from a wide range of influences, from Dynamic Duo and Jay Z to Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, and even Daft Punk. That eclectic taste shows up in his sound, which blends hip hop and pop rap with threads of gospel and funk running through it. His faith as a devout Protestant Christian isn't kept separate from his art either, and it surfaces openly across much of his music, giving his work a depth that sets him apart in the K rap scene.
