About
Bonafide are a Swedish hard rock band out of Malmö, built around singer, guitarist and songwriter Pontus Snibb. They hit an early milestone when they wrote the official anthem for the Sweden Rock Festival in 2008, a track called Fill Your Head With Rock that Classic Rock magazine later named one of the best songs of 2011. Seven studio albums in, the band have also put out a live record and several EPs, and spent years on the road across Europe sharing stages with the likes of Deep Purple, Status Quo, Nazareth and Black Star Riders. Their sound sits firmly in the classic hard rock tradition, drawing a straight line back to the no frills riff driven style that inspired Snibb in the first place. The albums Something's Dripping and Ultimate Rebel both picked up strong press notices, and the live DVD Messin' in Wales captured the band in full flight at the Hard Rock Hell festival. Through shifting line ups over the years, the core energy has stayed consistent: loud, unpretentious and built for a live room.
