Brunzyn is a Dutch rapper from Vlaardingen whose stage name came from two completely separate sources at once: footballer Hidde ter Avest and a classmate both independently landed on the same nickname for him. He records under the Albino Sports label, the imprint run by Joost Klein, which he signed to in 2019 and eventually rose to become vice chairman of. His mixtape Albino Sports, Vol. 1 brought together a solid cast including Donnie, Bokoedro and Nelcon, and he followed it up with the tracks Vrijdag Goed featuring Donnie and Albino Sports Anthem, both made with Joost Klein. In 2023 he took the stage at Eurosonic Noorderslag and sat down for a session at 101Barz, cementing his place as one of the more interesting voices coming out of the Rotterdam area rap scene.
