About
Emmanuel Boateng, the Amsterdam musician behind the name stay away from dante!, makes hip hop that deliberately doesn't sound like hip hop. Self taught on both piano and guitar, he builds something distinctly his own: dreamy, unconventional tracks that blur genre lines and pull you into a world full of stories and surprises. He first surfaced in 2022 with the songs In Je Eyes and Amethyst Ring, and has since shown at events like Popronde and Eurosonic Noorderslag that he can own any stage he steps onto. His live show is less a setlist and more an invitation into his imagination, genre hopping and unpredictable in the best way.
