About
Four French DJs who treat their turntables as full orchestras, C2C pulled off something genuinely rare: they won the DMC team world championship four years running, from 2003 to 2006, the first act ever to manage that. The group brings together Atom and pFeL of Beat Torrent and 20Syl and Greem of Hocus Pocus, and their approach to scratching goes well beyond hip hop tricks, with each member mimicking drums, bass, guitar riffs, and brass instruments in real time. Their debut album Tetr4, released in 2012, swept the Victoires de la Musique the following year, winning all four categories it was nominated in, including Best New Artist and Best Live Show. The single Down the Road racked up 34 million streams as an audio track alone and landed in Triple J's Hottest 100. Happy, featuring Derek Martin, became familiar to American TV audiences through Macy's commercials, while Delta quietly became their biggest video hit, sitting at nearly 50 million views on YouTube.
