About
Christian Smith is a Swedish techno DJ and producer who has been shaping the underground scene since the early 1990s. He founded Tronic, his own record label, in 1994, and it remains the home base for his output decades later, including the 2016 album Input Output. His 2001 release Tronic Treatment was significant enough to spawn a whole series of hosted DJ sessions under the same name in the years that followed. Beyond releasing music, Smith runs Tronic Radio, a weekly podcast that has grown to reach over 100 stations worldwide. The show hit a milestone with its 200th episode, celebrated with a guest appearance from fellow techno heavyweight Adam Beyer. Whether behind the decks or in the studio, Smith has built Tronic into a genuine institution within the techno world.
