About
Def Americans are a Netherlands based group from Brabant who dedicate themselves to the music of Johnny Cash. Their name is a nod to a piece of Cash history: when he began working with producer Rick Rubin, the label they used together became known as American Recordings, a name that blends the two halves of the band's own title. That attention to detail carries through into their live show, where they go well beyond the basic hits and aim to capture the swagger, mood and outlaw spirit that made Cash a legend. After a period of lineup changes and time away from the stage, the band found their way back to Dutch venues and picked up where they left off.
