Billed as the most booked Dire Straits tribute band in Europe, dIRE sTRATS from Germany has racked up more than 800 performances playing to packed houses across the continent. The band picked up where Dire Straits left off after the legendary act disbanded in 1992, centering their show on faithful recreations of that iconic guitar sound. At the heart of it all is guitarist Wolfgang Uhlich, widely regarded as the finest interpreter of Mark Knopfler's playing style in the world. Their setlists draw on classic Dire Straits material including Walk of Life, Money for Nothing, Brothers in Arms, Sultans of Swing and Private Investigations, rounded out with selections from Knopfler's solo catalogue.
