Also known as: Alice Van Eesbeek
Belgian pop artist Essyla, whose real name is Alice Van Eesbeek, built early momentum as a finalist on The Voice Belgique in 2020, finishing runner up in the competition. She started releasing her own music in 2023 with singles Let You Go and Not My Kind of Dude, followed by her debut album I'll Be Okay later that year. In February 2026 she was internally selected by RTBF to represent Belgium at the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, where she performed Dancing on the Ice in the first semi final and made it through to the grand final. It was not her first brush with the Eurovision world either, having sung with the choir Almakalia at the Eurovision Choir competition back in 2019 and later serving as a juror in the Belgian national jury for the 2024 contest.
