About
Forq is a New York jazz fusion outfit built around the chemistry between keyboardist Henry Hey and bassist Michael League of Snarky Puppy fame. The group launched on GroundUP Music, Snarky Puppy's own label, with a self titled debut in 2014 that grew out of a handful of live shows in New York City. Guitarist Adam Rogers was part of the original lineup, with Jason "JT" Thomas on drums rounding things out. Snarky Puppy guitarist Chris McQueen stepped in for Rogers ahead of a European tour in early 2015, and the band has kept rolling from there. Their second album Batch came out that same year, followed by Threq in 2017 and Four in 2019. League has since stepped back from the bass chair, with Kevin Scott taking over those duties. Their most recent release, Big Party, arrived in 2024.
