About
Dallas based guitarist Mark Lettieri plays in enough projects to keep most musicians busy for several lifetimes. Best known as a member of jazz fusion collective Snarky Puppy, where he has picked up five Grammy wins, he is also a founding member of The Fearless Flyers alongside Cory Wong, Joe Dart and Nate Smith. That funk quartet has been remarkably prolific, putting out four EPs, two studio albums and a live record since 2018. His own solo work sits at the intersection of groove and texture, and three of his albums have charted on the Billboard Jazz Albums Chart. His 2021 record Deep: The Baritone Sessions Vol. 2 earned him a Grammy nomination for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album, with the baritone guitar front and center in his sound. PRS Guitars also launched his signature model, the Fiore, that same year. Outside his own projects he has done session and touring work with Erykah Badu, David Crosby and Kirk Franklin, among others, showing just how wide his range really is.
