About

Also known as: Franklin Kroonenberg

Franklin Brown is probably best known for representing the Netherlands at Eurovision 1996, where he and Maxine performed "De eerste keer" and landed a respectable seventh place with 78 points. The two had won the Nationaal Songfestival that year to earn the spot, and after the contest went on to pursue separate solo paths before reuniting in 2005. That reunion came with a bigger project: Brown founded The EuroStars, a supergroup pulling together several Dutch Eurovision alumni including Mandy Huydts of Frizzle Sizzle, Marlayne, and Esther Hart. Outside of music, he has also done voice work, lending his voice to the character Mattias in the Dutch version of Frozen II. In 2020 he appeared on the beloved Dutch TV show Beste Zangers for a Eurovision themed special, performing Marlayne's "One Good Reason".
