About
Future Palace blend post hardcore and alternative rock with threads of 80s synth pop and electronica running through it, giving the Berlin trio a sound that sits somewhere between heavy and atmospheric. Vocalist Maria Lessing writes all the lyrics, drawing on personal experiences with depression, inner conflicts and toxic relationships, while guitarist Manuel Kohlert and drummer Johannes Früchtenicht lock in the heavy end. Their influences range from Bring Me the Horizon and Pvris to The Midnight and Mike Oldfield, which explains a lot about how the band can shift between crushing riffs and moody electronic textures. Three studio albums in, they built a real following: Run charted in Germany and Distortion landed a 9 out of 10 from Distorted Sound Magazine. Since signing to Century Media Records in 2025, they have been rolling out new material steadily, including the singles Cyclone, Deep Blue, Supernova and Resurge, with their fourth album Resurgence on the way.
