About
Built around Charles Moothart's obsession with hard rock riffs, Fuzz came together when Moothart looped in his bandmate Ty Segall, who jumped behind the drums. The Los Angeles trio, completed by bassist Chad Ubovich, plays heavy psych with a raw, no frills energy that owes as much to classic hard rock as it does to the noisier corners of psychedelic rock. Their three studio albums trace a band growing into its sound. The self titled debut landed in 2013, followed by II in 2015, which was the first record they wrote together as a full band rather than each member working solo. Still in Rock ranked it among the best albums of that year. III arrived in 2020, opening with the track "Returning", and showed Fuzz still very much committed to cranking up the volume.
