About
Grimner come from Motala in Sweden and play folk metal with a Viking streak. Their sound jumps around quite a bit: Scandinavian folk melodies, melodic death metal and even some classic heavy metal all get a turn. They sing in Swedish, and the lyrics dig into Norse gods, long gone eras and Swedish folklore. The band went through a quiet stretch before returning with the album Stormvingar, which put their older material back in the spotlight and gave them a reason to bring the classics back to the stage.
