Gus G, born Konstantinos Karamitroudis in Thessaloniki, Greece, has built a reputation as one of heavy metal's most in demand guitarists, splitting his time across his own band Firewind and high profile gigs with some of rock's biggest names. The biggest of those came in 2009 when Ozzy Osbourne's management cold emailed him to audition in Los Angeles, and he walked out with the job on the spot. He went on to become the second longest serving guitarist in Ozzy's career, only behind Zakk Wylde. Beyond the Ozzy years, Gus has kept busy with Firewind, a string of solo records, and collaborations that span genres. His solo catalogue runs from the guest heavy debut "I Am The Fire" to the fully instrumental "Quantum Leap", which Guitar World readers voted the number two guitar album of its year. He has also played with Nightrage, Arch Enemy, Dream Evil, and Mystic Prophecy, and more recently took to the stage with a classical orchestra at Megaron Athens Concert Hall to perform Jon Lord's Sarabande in full.
