About
Harry Sacksioni is a Dutch guitar virtuoso from Amsterdam whose fingerpicking compositions have become genuine study material for guitarists across the Netherlands and beyond. His work is almost entirely instrumental, and pieces like Meta Sequoia, Vensters, Elixer and Paddentrek have taken on a life of their own in the acoustic guitar world. He brought his own guitar label Katowee into existence specifically as a protest against high CD prices, releasing everything independently rather than chasing mainstream radio or TV exposure. Live, Sacksioni is known for switching between several guitars in a single concert, including a custom double neck instrument with one electric and one acoustic half. He has collaborated with Herman van Veen, Raymond van het Groenewoud and Frank Boeijen, among others. In 2009 he was made a Knight of the Order of Orange Nassau. His 2024 album Love of my life shows he is still very much at it.
